OUR LOVE OF Leadburn

The Stewart/Bygate family has had a long association with Leadburn dating back to my grandparent’s era and for us to be able to share our favourite place over many years is a joy. We have lived here it seems almost forever. Our younger family return to visit often.


Hazel, teacher and retired equestrian, leads hospitality while Jim retired project manager enjoys keeping the site and hot tub maintained and welcoming.


We wanted to provide an opportunity for visitors to stay and enjoy Leadburn as we do. It is such a small community with few places to stay, we could only do this in our fields where family horses were previously.


We have enjoyed Leadburn as a family, with friends and animals but as our children grew up and on retiring from riding and teaching, (my other life), I persuaded my husband that this would be a fun project and would share our love of Leadburn with others providing, outdoor space and glamping with style and comfort, near local activities, major attractions and sport.

Located in the peaceful community of Leadburn in Midlothian, on the edge of the Scottish Borders, the Pentland and Woodland Pods offer a relaxing escape. Surrounded by a private field and wooded areas, these pods are ideal for couples or families seeking a comfortable glamping experience.


Pentland Pod: Cosy Comfort and Modern Amenities

Perfect for two, with a double sofa bed for children, the Pentland Pod features an open-plan layout with a cosy double bed, Smart TV, and dining space. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. A spacious shower room and underfloor heating ensure comfort in all seasons. Step outside to the elevated decking with a gas BBQ and wood-fired hot tub—ideal for stargazing under the bubbles.


Woodland Pod: Luxury and Seclusion

Designed for couples, the Woodland Pod offers a stylish, side-facing space with a king-sized bed, velvet sofa, and light-filled interior. The well-equipped kitchen and modern shower room, complete with luxurious toiletries, provide a touch of indulgence. Outside, enjoy a private seating area, a cold tub, and a hot tub for relaxation after a day exploring.

Both pods are ideally situated for exploring Edinburgh, Peebles, and the Scottish Borders. While the secluded setting offers tranquillity, there is some traffic noise at peak times. The location allows for a balance of relaxation and easy access to local attractions, along with the chance to spot wildlife nearby.
